A strong and uncompromising
citizen’s advocate who has proved that he has the experience
and the know-how to properly administer taxpayer dollars.
A successful third-generation local
businessman who understands firsthand what Rutland business
owners need from City government in order to prosper and thrive.
A ten-year active duty U.S. Army Aviation
veteran who possesses keenly-developed skills in leadership
and decision making, honed while serving in a combat environment.
Dedicated to reducing City
spending through increased efficiencies and cost controls and will
reduce the tax burden by building our tax base through aggressive
business recruitment and retention.
Tax Burden
The strain being placed upon many property owners is becoming unbearable
and it will take bold, decisive leadership to control spending.
Staffing levels must be reviewed and adjusted within select City
Hall departments, such as the attorney’s office and the recreation
department, to ensure operations are efficient and cost effective.
Downtown Revitalization
My ideas include: creating upper-story, middle/upper income housing;
establishing a wireless internet “hotspot” serving the
entire downtown; entering into public/private partnerships to develop
the infamous parking “pit”; and providing tax stabilization
or grants/loans to businesses that will work to brings jobs and
industry to the City.
City Finances
Responsibility for all Rutland City governance and financial management
must lie with the Mayor. Rutland needs someone without a learning
curve and someone who can walk into the Mayor’s office and
not suffer the trials of on-the-job-training.
